Our 2014 Meritage is a blend of 65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. This primarily estate grown wine is a juicy, big red blend that is lush with flavours of ripe red fruit, smoky bacon, and roasted red peppers. Savour this beautifully balanced wine with hearty dishes or grilled meats.

Wine Profile

Tasting Notes

Smokey bacon, tobacco leaves, roasted red peppers and ripe red cassis. On the palate: Big on entry, coating the entire palate with heat and intense fruit. Juicy and lush with flavor. Medium to full bodied.

Winemaker Notes

Our Meritage is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet franc and Cabernet sauvignon. Fruit was sourced from four sites: two in the Okanagan, one in the similkameen and from Lillooet. Merlot from the Similkameen ripened very well during the 2014 season leanding this wine intense aromas of ripe red fruit. Cabernet franc from our site counter balances this wine with its greener notes, a trademark of the Meritage blend.
