The 2013 vintage is made primarily with grapes from our Lillooet vineyard. Deep ruby in colour with aromas of coconut, campfire, and peppercorn; full-bodied and good tannins make for excellent cellaring or easy decanting to enjoy tonight. Enjoy this Cabernet Franc and its long, juicy finish – especially with stews and grilled meats.

Winemaker Notes
Made from premium grapes from our estate vineyard (70%), clone 327 and 214, and Sundial vineyard on the Black Sage Bench, south of Oliver. This Cabernet Franc was made to reflect the local terroir and the distinct varietal characteristics. It was fermented in stainless steel tanks using various yeast strains to highlight the various fruit tones in the grapes. Then it was aged in French & American oak barrels for 10 months and filtered through a “coarse” sheet only, to retain the intense flavours of the wine. After bottling it has aged another 9 months in bottle prior to release. The result is a wine with a high concentration of aromas, yet elegant and smooth.
Food Pairing Notes
Pair this delicious Cabernet Franc with some juniper braised short ribs, a roast leg of lamb with garlic and rosemary or some shredded slow roasted duck with a balsamic glaze.
Other Notes
Wine is approaching its peak, but can be cellared until 2020-2022
